It's 7:15 on a Friday. The phone rings, and nobody can get to it.
The host is seating a six-top, the bar is three deep, and the call goes to voicemail. The caller wanted a table for four at eight. RestaurantOS texts them back from your number in seconds and asks one thing: a table, takeout, or catering? The reply goes to whoever handles it.
$119/mo up to 15 missed calls, $219/mo up to about 40. Same plans as text-back for any business. Runs on your existing number.
Missed call · Fri 7:15 PM
Thanks for calling Harbor & Vine. We're in the middle of dinner service. Reply here: a table, takeout, or catering?Reply STOP to opt out.
Table for 4 around 8 tonight?
We can seat 4 at 8:15. Name for the table?
The host books it in whatever you use today.
How it works
Three kinds of calls, three places the reply goes
The first text asks what the caller wants. The answer decides who sees the reply, so the host isn't fielding catering questions mid-service and you aren't fielding table requests.
Reservations
The text asks for party size and time. The reply goes to the host stand's phone, and the host books it in whatever reservation book or POS you use today. We don't replace it.
Sample reply: "Party of 4, 8 o'clock, name Ortiz."
Takeout orders
The text asks what they'd like and when they'll pick up. The reply goes to the front counter, so the order gets rung in when someone's free. If you have online ordering, the first text can carry the link.
Sample reply: "Two chicken bowls and a side salad, pick up at 7:20."
Catering leads
The text asks for the date, the headcount, and the occasion. The reply goes to you or your catering manager, not the host stand. These are the calls worth the most attention and the easiest to lose to voicemail.
Sample reply: "Office lunch for 30 next Thursday. Do you do drop-off?"
What a Friday night looks like on the board
Made-up calls for a fictional restaurant, so you can see how replies get sorted. Your numbers come from your own line, and the booking is always made by your staff.

Rush wording and quiet hours
Set once on the setup call, in your words
During service
You set the rush hours, say 6 to 9 pm. In that window the text says you're in the middle of dinner service and asks the one question. Replies wait for the host between seatings; nobody has to stop what they're doing.
After close
Your choice. Either nothing goes out until you open, or one text says when you open and that a host will confirm in the morning. Nothing is sent at 1 am unless you want it to be.
Opt-out, every time
"Reply STOP to opt out" is on every first text and STOP is honored automatically. No marketing texts, and no more than one text every 12 hours from your number to the same caller. See SMS terms.

Questions
What restaurant owners ask
Does it replace my reservation system?
No. The text asks what the caller wants and hands the reply to your host. The host books it in whatever you use today, whether that's a reservation platform, the POS, or the book by the stand.
Does it take orders or payments?
No. The text asks what they'd like and when they'll pick up; your staff rings it in as usual. If you already have online ordering, the first text can include the link so the caller can order there instead.
Our phone is a landline at the host stand.
Most business lines work, including landlines with forwarding and VoIP numbers. On the setup call we confirm your setup. If yours can't run text-back, we say so and refund your first payment in full.
Can replies go to more than one person?
Yes. Table and takeout replies to the host stand, catering to you or your catering manager, for example. On the bigger plan the split is automatic; on the smaller plan everything goes to one phone or inbox.
Will you text our regulars with promotions?
No. Only people who called your number and didn't get through, one text about that call, and STOP always honored. No lists, no blasts, no promotions.
The demo shows review replies. Is that included?
The demo previews review reply drafts you'd approve before anything posts. That's a preview, not part of the $119/mo or $219/mo plans. If you want it, ask and we'll put it in writing.
What if it isn't for me?
Cancel by text or email at any time. It stops at the end of the paid month, with no cancellation fee. See Refunds.
